MODC’s COVID safe environment complies the regulations set down by the state government, local council, and Dogs Victoria.
MEMBERS (Current and members renewing) PLEASE NOTE:
Training will be on Sunday mornings for dogs over 6months of age and Wednesday night for puppies under 6 months.
COVID safe regulations require online bookings for all classes which need to be made weekly.

A. Join online on the Moorabbin Obedience Dog Club website.B. The club is situated at G R Bricker Reserve Rowans Road
C. Go to the registration area (outside the clubrooms)
D. Bring and present your dog’s vaccination certificate (a minimum of a C5 vaccination is required).
This is an annual requirement.
E. You will be given your membership badge which has to be worn each time you attend.F. Classes will start after registrations are finalised.
Please bring to your class, a collar and lead and lots of small soft dog treats and a favourite toy.
Please note: The new date for the 2020 AGM Is February 28 2021. More information regarding the AGM and the Committee positions that will be open for election will be sent out mid January 2021.
Moorabbin Obedience Dog Club was established in 1972. We offer a wide variety of activities including Obedience, Agility, Rally and pre-puppy. The training methods used at MODC focus primarily on positive reinforcement through food, toys and praise as well as negative punishment which simply means withholding the positive reinforcement. There is a big emphasis on the importance of a well socialised dog and how socialisation doesn't end at pre-puppy but continues for the life of the dog.
We are also a trialling club and as well as hosting our own Obedience, Agility and Rally trials every year, have had many dogs compete successfully at the highest levels of competition over the past 41 years.
Moorabbin Obedience dog club caters for all standards puppy socialisation through to competition Obedience, Rally and Agility.
Training sessions are held on a Sunday morning.
The club holds Open trials in each of the disciplines we offer training for as well as member only competitions at various times in the year.

We welcome new members and their dogs every Sunday (except non training dates). Dogs can start Obedience from 12 weeks of age and there is no upper age limit. A current vaccination certificate with minimum C5, or a written vaccination certificate from your vet, must be provided. New members first class is at 10.45 am Sunday, if you are joining on the day please be there by 10.00am.
