Moorabbin Obedience Dog Club was established in 1972. We offer a wide variety of activities including Obedience, Agility, Rally and pre-puppy. The training methods used at MODC focus primarily on positive reinforcement through food, toys and praise as well as negative punishment which simply means withholding the positive reinforcement. There is a big emphasis on the importance of a well socialised dog and how socialisation doesn't end at pre-puppy but continues for the life of the dog.
We are also a trialling club and as well as hosting our own Obedience, Agility and Rally trials every year, have had many dogs compete successfully at the highest levels of competition over the past 53 years.
